Customs rules – Customs rules for individuals leaving the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan

ATTENTION TO PASSENGERS!

Dear guests and citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan!

When  you enter / leaving  for the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to avoid violation of customs legislation, when you pass customs control and clearance you need to know the following:

When you cross the customs border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the customs declaration of the T-6 form must be filled by a person who has reached the age of 16 by declaring in it a cash foreign currency, inventory and other personal belongings.

Information on people under the age of 16, as well as information about the goods and items belonging to them are indicated in the declarations of their parents, other relatives or their accompanying persons, indicating the degree of kinship, surname, name and year of birth in the upper left corner of the declaration.

In case of loss, the customs declaration is not renewed, and its owner loses the right to unimpeded movement of the goods and items indicated therein.

Import of foreign currency in cash

The import of cash foreign currency into the Republic of Uzbekistan is allowed to residents and non-residents in unlimited quantities with the obligatory declaration of the T-6 form in the customs declaration.

At the request of a resident or non-resident, the foreign currency and the national currency shall be deposited on the receipt of the TS-21, with no charge collected. The first copy of the receipt TS-21 (with the stamp of the customs authority) is issued to the owner.

Cash foreign currency in the amount exceeding the equivalent of 5,000 US dollars is passed to the Republic with the issuance of a customs certificate form TC-28.

Export of cash foreign currency outside the Republic of Uzbekistan is allowed: 

  1. Residents within the amount equivalent to 2000 (two thousand) US dollars without obtaining permission;
  2. To residents in excess of the amount equivalent to 2000 (two thousand) US dollars – with the permission of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan or authorized banks;
  3. To residents in excess of the amount equivalent to 5000 (five thousand) US dollars – with the permission of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  4.  To non-residents – within the amount previously imported to the republic in accordance with the customs declaration. The grounds for exporting cash foreign currency in excess of the amount specified in the customs declaration of the T-6 form (completed when importing) or the certificate TC-28 (issued by the customs authority upon importation) is a bank permission;
  5. Removal of traveler’s checks is permitted with an indication of their number in the customs declaration T-6.

The transfer of a banking authorization for the export of cash foreign currency to other persons is not allowed.

The counterfeit foreign currency discovered during customs control is not subject to a pass. The counterfeit currency is delayed with the processing of procedural documents in accordance with the procedure established by law.

Import and export of cash currency

Import and export of the national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UZS) is allowed to individuals-residents and non-residents within the amount not exceeding 50 times the minimum wage established in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Export of the national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan in excess of the amount exceeding 50 times the minimum wage is allowed with the permission of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The cash national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan transported by individuals through the customs border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the amount of:

– Up to 5 minimum wages are passed without mandatory entry of the T-6 form in the customs declaration;

– Over 5 times the minimum wage is passed with the obligatory introduction of the T-6 form in the customs declaration.

QUANTITATIVE LIMITATIONS ON THE TRANSFER OF GOODS

LIST OF OBJECTS BANNED TO IMPORT (IMPORT) IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Prints, manuscripts, clichés, drawings, photographs, films, negatives, films, video, and audio products, recordings, audio materials aimed at undermining the state and social system, violation of territorial integrity, political independence and state sovereignty, propaganda war, terrorism , violence, national exclusiveness and religious hatred, racism and its variety (anti-Semitism, fascism), as well as pornographic materials.

It is prohibited to import ethyl alcohol into the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the former “M2”, “M3” and “N2” vehicles; new vehicles of these categories equipped with gasoline and diesel engines, the level of toxicity which does not meet the requirements of the ecological class “Euro-2”, and from January 1, 2010 – not meeting the requirements of the ecological class “Euro-3”, except for special vehicles , corresponding to the codes of TN VED 8703 and 8705. 

LIST of items and products whose export is prohibited

Grain: wheat, rye, barley, oats, rice, corn, buckwheat; Bakery products (except for pastry, pastries, cookies of own production); flour, cereals, cattle, poultry; meat and edible by-products; sugar; objects of antiquity (paintings, sculptures, etc.) that represent significant artistic, historical, scientific or other cultural value (except those for which there is an opinion of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan that the subject does not represent a significant artistic, historical, scientific or other cultural value);vegetable oils; leather raw materials (including non-standard), fur-and-fur raw materials, incl. Karakul (including non-standard);scrap and wastes of non-ferrous metals; cocoons of silkworm, suitable for unwinding, raw silk (untwisted), silk waste (including cocoons not suitable for unwinding, waste cocoon thread and loosened waste). 

The maximum rates of duty-free importation of goods by individuals to the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Goods that are imported by individuals for their own needs are passed without payment of customs payments:

– The cost of not more than $ 1000 for goods imported from non-bound countries;

– a total cost of $ 10 for goods imported from neighboring countries at a time (Afghanistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan).

Norms of importation by individuals of goods not subject to excise tax payment

Coffee fried or not fried with caffeine or decaffeinated – 2 kg;

Sturgeon caviar – 0,5 kg;

Caviar substitutes – 1 kg;

Confectionery products – 5 kg;

Chocolate in tiles and briquettes over 2 kg – 5 kg;

Products from grain, cereals, starch and flour, flour confectionery products – 10 kg;

Products of processing of vegetables, fruits, nuts or other plants – 5 kg;

Mixed food products – 2 kg;

Beer – 2 liters;

Non-alcoholic drinks, juices (excluding citrus fruits) – 2 liters;

All kinds of alcohol products (except beer) – 2 liters;

All types of tobacco products in quantity – 10 packs;

Perfumery – 2 units each. each name;

Autocosmetics- 2 units each.each name;

Washing and cleaning products – 5 kg;

Products made from natural and artificial leather, except school briefcases and satchels – 1 unit each. Of each name, but not more than 3 units;

Clothing and clothing accessories of genuine leather – 1 unit each.of each name, but not more than 3 units;

Outerwear and hats of natural fur – 1 unit each.of each name, but not more than 3 units;

Carpets and carpet products- 15 sq.m;

Knitted and crocheted machine tools – 1 pc. each name; bed linen – 5 sets;

Ceramic products – 1 set, but not more than 24 units;

Dishes from crystal – 1 set, but not more than 12 units;

Jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones – 5 products with a total weight of not more than 30 grams;

Costumejewelry – no more than 0.5 kg;

kitchen utensils, knives, spoons, forks and other non-precious metals, including those covered with precious metals – 1 set, but not more than 24 units;

Video and audio equipment – 1 unit each.of each name, but not more than 3 units;

Watches of all kinds – 2 units;

chandelier, lightingequipments – 2 units. 

Limit rates of export by individuals outside the Republic of Uzbekistan of goods whose export is allowed only for freely convertible currency

Animals or vegetable fats and oils and their fractions – 2 kg;

Portland cement, aluminous cement, slag cement, super-sulphate cement and similar hydraulic cements – 100 kg;

Oil and oil products – 20 liters;

Medicinal products – 2 packs of each item; cotton wool, gauze, bandages and the like – 1 kg;

Paints and varnishes – 10 kg;

Pigments (including metal powders and flakes) – 2 kg;

Tires pneumatic rubber new – 2 pcs .;

Paper, cardboard, cellulose wadding and web of impregnated cellulose fibers – 2 kg;

Cotton yarn, cotton fabrics – 5 kg, 10 meters of each denomination;

Yarn of artificial complex yarns – 10 meters of each name;

Yarn of synthetic and artificial staple fibers – 5 kg;

Cotton wool from textile raw materials and products made of it – 5 kg;

Thread chrome – 5 kg;

Furniture-decorative patterned fabrics handmade – 10 meters each name;

Linen pile (including with a long nap) and a terry cloth – 10 meters;

Other knitted fabric of machine and manual knitting – 10 meters;

Installations for air conditioning – 1 pc. (only household);

Refrigerators, freezers and other refrigerating and freezing equipment – 1 pc. (only household);

Electric machines and equipment:

-Electrical iron, other household electric heaters,

– Telephone and facsimile equipment,

– sound recording and sound reproducing equipment,

– Equipment for recording and reproducing television images and sound – 1 pc. of each

denomination;

isolatedwires – 50 meters;

Cars produced in the Republic of Uzbekistan – 1 pc. after payment of the excise tax in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 Additional Information

When importing / exporting goods intended for commercial activity by an individual, it is required to register this person as an individual entrepreneur for the right to carry out export-import operations.

Import into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the use of radio electronic means and high-frequency devices is allowed only with the permission of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information with the exception of mobile phones of cellular communication networks for personal (individual) use, in the amount of one unit per individual, except mobile phones of global and regional satellite systems;

Import and export for commercial purposes of jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones is carried out on the basis of a license issued by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Undeclared or unreliable declaring and not giving in the course of an oral interrogation of cash foreign currency, traveler’s checks, currency and inventory items and other items to a customs officer during customs control is a violation of customs rules, and the persons who committed them are liable in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
